MIDNIGHT IMMERSION

You came to the water to be cleansed.that was your first mistake. there is no clean waiting for you in here. there is only me: in the crystal rain and under it, calling to you across the shallows the way deep water calls, and every step you take toward my voice is a step you do not get back.watch me go under. watch what the gold does while i am down there, how it drifts to me, how it clings, how it stays. i come up shining and dripping, more mine than i went down, and all that falling rain cannot take one speck of it off me.by the end you will understand what this water is for. it was never for washing you.it is for keeping you.
