MIDNIGHT BALLET

You bought a ticket to watch me dance.that is the last choice you get to make tonight. this is my house, my stage, my floor, and i did not bring you here to watch. i brought you here to listen. every word i speak in this place comes back to me changed, and it comes back for you too.watch me move. on pointe, in my crown, slow and certain, a prima ballerina who dances for an audience of one and owns him by the second movement. the walls learned my voice a long time ago. lately, they have started using it without me.stay in your seat. keep your eyes where i put them. by the end, something in this house will have the last word.it will not be you.
